LEVEL 1 COACH COURSE

The A.C.F. Level 1 Coaches Course is conducted each February by CAL.S.A.C. It is a 2 day practical/theory course covering the following topics:
Module 1      Role of the Coach
Module 2 Organisation and Planning
Module 3 Coaching Communication
Module 4 Safety, Physical Conditioning and Gymnastics
Module 5 Growth and Development
Module 6 Dance in Calisthenics
Module 7 Music and Singing
Module 8 Choreography

All sessions must be attended in full for accreditation to proceed. The cost of the course is $111.50.

Requirements:
The following prerequisites apply to all applicants:
  • must be 18 years of age by the 31st December of the year of the course
  • must have Cadet Coach accreditation – this includes Calisthenic Skills Grade 2 or higher (click here for current information about Calisthenic Skills) and 1st Aid for Calisthenics certificate or other approved qualification
  • must be a Full Member of CAL.S.A.C. ($85 - this includes insurance cover)
  • must have supplied a current National Police Certificate
  • must purchase a Technical Guide CD ($20) and a Beginning Coaching Manual ($20). (These are distributed at the course.)
  • must be able to accrue 40 hours of coaching with an accredited coach and then be monitored, both within 12 months of the theory course.
